So, basically, new fanwork ideas I've had, and progress reports on the slightly older ones:

1. The Springtime of Our Youth - Naruto fanfiction; AU; Uzumaki Naruto/Sabaku no Gaara - I've completed 9/16 sections, but I keep finding myselff adding in extra ones. 3498 words so far, and I'm hoping to get it up to 5000 at the very least. I'm also planning on illustrating it, eventually, and once I'm done with the initial writing process, I'll be posting it at betaworks, and then hunting for a beta-reader. *Is new to the whole beta-ing process*

2. The Chosen - Tortall fanfiction; AU; Alex of Tirragen/Alanna of Trebond - 24 chapters and prologue finished. The story, I feel, is nearing it's end. But there's still so much to put in! Maybe 10 or so chapters left to write, and then the epilogue.

3. Higher - Prince of Tennis fanfiction; AU; Fuji Yuuta/Echizen Ryoma friendship (with a few cameos from Kirihara Akaya) - My Yuuta characterisation is still as sucky as ever. Am not even going to attempt to write any more until I sort that out, which is probably sensible, considering that practically the whole thing is from Yuuta's perspective. Mainly set during the Junior Senbatsu arc from the anime, and will hopefully also be illustrated once I'm done with it.

4. The Many Woes of Marui Bunta - Prince of Tennis fanfiction; Marui Bunta/Akutagawa Jirou friendship - I still have absolutely nothing on this one, except for a few must-use-at-some-point-even-if-it-kills-me quotes. *Must get manga*

5. Charity - Harry Potter fanfiction; AU; for fanfic100; Harry Potter/Blaise Zabini - As probably everyone on my flist knows by now, I've already done the first 4 chapters. I've got a vague idea of what's going to happen throughout, but the finer details for the most part, succeed in evading me. As with most of my challenge work, will be completely unbeta'd.

6. Missing You - Harry Potter fanfiction; time-travel; Harry Potter/Luna Lovegood, Ron Weasley/Hermione Granger, Neville Longbottom/Ginny Weasley, though mainly Harry Potter/Sirius Black friendship - 22 chapters posted so far, and by far my most popular story, though I think it's probably one of my worst. Chapter 23 is in the works, though I'll probably wait until I've got the data from my old hard disc transferred to my new laptop (because the old one burst into flames started sparking and smoking and got completely wrecked a few months ago), because I lost a lot of the plot ideas I'd come up with. *Resists temptation to turn it into HP/SB slash*

7. Godsend - Harry Potter fanfiction; AU; Potter family gen, also featuring Lucius Malfoy and Severus Snape, and Tom Riddle (kind of) - 2/19 chapters posted, but I'll probably need to refresh my memory on what happens in the film before I continue it.

8. SR Granger-Weasley and the Green Flame Torch - Harry Potter fanfiction; Harry Potter/Blaise Zabini, various OCs (Sirius Granger-Weasley, Dracon Malfoy, Robin Boot and Ally Sanders, chiefly) - 3 chapters posted. Not sure how many there'll be in total, but probably not more than 20-or-so. The second in the Little Sirius sequence, which will (eventually) have eight or nine parts (though, since I edited the story slightly to be HBP-compliant, In Years Gone By hardly counts as a part of it any more). One other side-story planned, which bounces off an idea I had for the Green Flame Torch, features Blaise, Theodore and Daphne's backstory, called As the Grass is Green.

9. Licorice Sticks and Aniseed Balls - Harry Potter fanfiction; Harry Potter/James Potter, Lily Evans/Alice Longbottom/Frank Longbottom, Lily Evans/James Potter - 11/28 chapters posted so far. I also have one 5-chapter sequel planned, and several oneshot companions, all of which are in the works. Chapter 12 is half finished, but I have a slight creative block regarding it (ie. I cannot think of anything more to put in the chapter, and it's not long enough yet). Might be a while before it's posted.

10. The Dancing Dove - Tortall fanfiction; AU; SotL & TI characters, with too many pairings to list - somewhat of a Tortall-verse soap opera, so I have absolutely no idea where it's going, or how long it'll be, or if it'll ever end at all. Though it'd be nice to have a co-writer, I doubt it'll ever happen. The only thing the story's got, plotwise, is Roger attempting to take over Corus University. If you can call that a plot.

11. If the Fates Allow - Harry Potter fanfiction; time-travel; Harry Potter/Tom Riddle, with Sirius Black and (possibly) one of his ancestors thrown into the mix (and Eileen Prince!) - 1 chapter up, and a prologue, which I realised upon rereading were littered with spelling and grammar mistakes, so I edited them and they're (hopefully) okay now. I have no idea what's going on with the story, and I don't intend to write anything more until I've figured it out (because I only bothered to brainstorm the first two chapters).

12. Target X - Alex Rider/Artemis Fowl crossover fanfiction; Alex Rider/Artemis Fowl, also featuring James Sprintz - the prologue's already posted, but I'm in much the same situation as with If the Fates Allow. Needless to say, it'll be a while before I post chapter 1. Though this one will have a sequel, eventually, which will be an Alex Rider/Artemis Fowl/Harry Potter crossover, with some Harry/James Sprintz slash as well as Alex/Artemis. The sequel, surprisingly enough, is better planned at this point than Target X is, which is slightly odd.

13. Blunt Dagger - Harry Potter/Circle of Magic crossover fanfiction; for crossovers100; Harry Potter/Briar Moss - I've posted chapter 1, but I plan to finish fanfic100 before continuing with any of my crossovers100 claims, unless some kind of unstoppable inspiration strikes me. So chapter 2 probably won't be up for a while. Like Charity, it's all planned out in a very vague manner, but I'm having trouble with the finer details.

14. The Knockturn Alley Peace Treaty - Harry Potter fanfiction; collaborative; Harry Potter/Blaise Zabini - would be going smoothly, if a certain someone would hurry up and post chapter 4 (and that means you, joshelboricua). Seriously, though, if you don't want to carry on with it, then just let me know, and I'll get on with the next chapter. Should we have a vote on this anyway?

15. How to be Dead - Prince of Tennis fanfiction; Mizuki Hajime, Fuji Yuuta and Fuji Syuusuke gen - No progress at all. I still have "attempt when feeling brave" written into my notes, and that time has not yet come. Probably won't for a long while, either.

16. Some Gutter Called Home (tentative title) - Gundam Wing fanfiction; for mara_202, if you wants it (or if you don't, then I'll write this, and then write another for you); Solo/Duo Maxwell pre-slash - since it's based on Duo's backstory, I don't intend to start working on it until I've read Episode Zero (which I've already ordered, and ought to arrive in a few days). D'you know who Solo is, Mara? 'Cause if not, then I'll be perfectly willing to write 3x4 or even (possibly) 1x3 for you.

17. Shoebox of Photographs - Prince of Tennis fanart; Fuji Syuusuke/Echizen Ryoma - haven't even begun working on it, though it's pictured very clearly in my head. I need to take a few anime-drawing-technique tutorials before I get started.

18. Onwards, Upwards (and don't forget to breathe) - Naruto fanfiction; AU; Rin, Uzumaki Naruto, Kaguya Kimimaro, Sabaku no Gaara, Uchiha Sasuke and Uchiha Itachi gen, with several OCs and maybe a little background Uchiha Sasuke/Uzumaki Naruto pre-slash, and Hatake Kakashi/Rin - I've been (slowly) beginning to work on chapter 1, but I've got two possible starting places. Methinks I'll probably start the story later on in the plotline, and then tell the rest of the story through flashbacks, or something of the kind. The OCs will probably be a slight put-off, but I'm hoping it'll be good anyway. Set during the chuunin exam arc.

19. The Fox and the Hound - Naruto essay; Inuzuka Kiba/Uzumaki Naruto - I've already got all the pictures ready for it (please tell me if you can access them, because I've had a few problems accessing other peoples' pictures on photobucket, and if you can't then there's obviously a problem), and it's all planned out and everything. Now all I need to do is see if I can manage actually writing it, and then I have to apply to ship_manifesto to see about posting it there.

20. I want to be the serpent to your... potentness? (tentative title) - Harry Potter essay; Harry Potter/Blaise Zabini - well, another shipper's essay, the only difference with The Fox and the Hound being that I probably won't actually write this one. There's really not enough canon interaction between Harry and Blaise to draw from.

21. Streets of L2 (tentative title) - Gundam Wing essay; Solo/Duo Maxwell - because my new OTP is way too rare, goddamnit! Again, I probably won't actually write it, but it's a nice idea.

22. A Gap in Your Memory (tentative title) - Naruto essay; Yondaime/Mitarashi Anko - since there is absolutely no canon interaction between the two (probably due to Yondaime dying pre-series), it will probably only amount to a rant/speculation type thing at the very most, but in that case, I might end up adding in something about Rin and the mangekyou sharingan. But I do plan to write it. Eventually.

Hng. Finally finished my entry for the B&W challenge at hp_fringeart. Two days late, however, so...

Anyway, it's up at doodlemoon, if anyone wants to see it.

Back at school. Unfortunately. And between updating doodlemoon and finishing off all my holiday work, I'm really quite tired now: I didn't manage to get to bed 'til 4:00 this morning, though that probably had more to do with insomnia than anything.

Meh.

I'm on the verge of a panic attack at the moment. I've got my Art GCSE tomorrow and I still haven't got anything to draw...

Unless I manage to find the incy model sailing boat that I got yonks ago.

Problem is, I doubt that I will be able to find it. After all, the house is quite big, and the boat is teency, and I've already searched around for it about five times.

I'm going to fail. Not that I didn't expect it, really, as Art is my worst subject (even worse than English, and that's quite an achievement), but I didn't expect it to be because of that.

Now is time for my weekly rant (I've decided to make it weekly rather than daily because, now that school's started again, I don't have nearly as much time on my hands as I did before). Firstly, my art project. I mean, I know I got a C, and I can deal with that, because at least I passed, but who exactly does she think she is?!?!?! "Not visual enough"???? You can see it: How much more visual does it need to get????!?!!?!?!?!?!

Apologies. You may have guessed that I hate my art teacher. Actually, I hate both my art teachers. They won't even try to understand the way I see things. Instead, they decide to tell me that they're "disappointed" in me, because the topic I chose was "too far away" from my talents. Yeah, right. The piece I did was just about the only thing I could have pulled off without mucking up (*Scowls murderously, making Mr. and Mrs. Jeans squeak and run for cover*).

I really can't be bothered to say anything else about my boring little world today, but I'll post my painting when I'm allowed to take it home, then see what you think.
